SCARF: Tension: width of 16 dc x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Crochet a chain approx 1.6 m long with ch on crochet hook size 5 mm with 2 threads Alpaca.
1st and 2nd round: crochet dc’s round the chain (i.e on both sides of chain = 2 rounds of dc
3rd round: 1 tr in each dc (replace 1st tr with 3 ch) all the way round
4th round: 1 tr in each tr all the way round
5th round: Change to crochet hook size 10 mm and Vivaldi and crochet 2 dtr in each tr all the way round
6th round: 1 dtr in each dtr all the way round
Cut the thread and sew.
HAIR BAND:
Size: one-size
Materials: Alpaca
100 g colour no 0100, off-white
Drops pointed needles size 4 mm or size needed to obtain the correct tension.
Tension: 19 sts x 25 rows in stocking sts = 10 x 10 cm.
Pattern: See diagram M.1. English translations for the wording in the diagrams are given at the bottom of this pattern, and they are given in the vertical order in which they appear in the diagram. Garter sts back and forth on needle: knit all rows.
Loosely cast on 33 sts on needle size 4 mm with 2 threads Alpaca (double thread). Knit 2 rows garter sts and continue as follows from the RS: 2 sts in garter sts, K3, P5, M.1 (= 13 sts), P5, K3, 2 sts in garter sts. Continue in pattern until hair band measures approx 53 cm – make sure you have knitted 2 rows after a cable. Knit 2 rows garter sts and cast off loosely. Sew tog mid back.
